Fred is the first Dachshund for his owner, Cathy Thompson of the famous Von Gailingen Rottweilers.  Cathy has been involved in purebred dogs for decades and is the only AKC breeder/judge of Rottweilers who has personally trained and titled her dogs in all AKC events for which Rottweilers are eligible, including breed, herding, tracking, obedience, rally and agility.  She judges obedience and rally as well.  Here is what she has to say about her Fred:

HE'S A COOL LITTLE DUDE WITH ATTITUDE!  He pretty much runs the place, and he knows which Rottweilers he can boss and which he can't!  He really tries hard to please, but sometimes his brain goes off before he thinks--like running between my legs on the figure 8!  Naturally he has his phobias--doesn't care a wit about any kind of blower, or floor vent, tends to sit and cuddle with hubby but can't stand it if I'm not around.  He keeps me very creative with training methods and is now getting ready for open--just have to master the drop and out of sight stays.

We know Fred will continue to blossom under Cathy's tutelage as she patiently waits for her second wire!
