Isn't licking the beaters one of the great pleasures in life?  This modified Dachshund "flower" around the beaters is Elliot, Finn, Ryan, Gracchus & Pearl. What makes this picture hilarious for me is Evie in the background. I wish I knew what she was thinking here, because she is normally NOT one to hang back when something yummy is going on.  I was laughing hard enough at Evie's quizzical expression that I had a hard time keeping the camera still. By the way, they were licking icing beaters from PW's "That's The Best Frosting I've Ever Had" icing. That went on PW's "The Best Chocolate Sheet Cake. Ever." I've made lots of icing over the years. I've made lots of chocolate cake. And those two recipe titles are exactly correct. Yummm. Seriously. The Pioneer Woman is really jacking up my weight loss. Thanks a LOT, MaryAnne! And Ree. Sheesh. Yesterday was a good day to bake. Ten inches of snow. It was 70 degrees the day before. Mother Nature can quit with the teasing any time now.
