Radar, Handsome Man

This picture comes from Radar's owner, Kathy Schooler, in Boise ID.  Radar is a beautiful wirehaired Dachshund who is officially known as Champion Caledonia's Radar O'Reilly v Ruger MW, RN JE TDI.  He needs 1.25 field points to finish his Field Championship and become a Dual Champion.  He is a DC Maximus son out of the lovely and sweet-tempered CH LK's Caledonia's Lil Lassie MW and his breeders are our dear friends, the Marvin family; Andy, Daphne, Saxon & Skye.  We really appreciate Kathy and all the love and training she's given him.  His equally handsome brothers are CH Winston, living with the Harlans in CO and Bert, who lives with Betsey Perry and her family in MN.  The Marvins have his sister, Rose, who is a little sweetheart.

Thank you, Kathy, for the beautiful pictures; they were such a surprise!

...for Champion Tucker and his owners, Diana Kershner and her mother, Ellen Tucker.  Tucker is a wire miniature Dachshund son of our Dual Champion Maximus.  He is pictured at left taking his third UKC Best In Show.  He is officially known as UKC Multiple BIS, International BIS, AKC Multiple Group Placing, AM/UKC/Intl CH Rumor's Leon's Last Wish v Ruger.  Just 2 years of age, he is only going to get better as he continues to show!  He is a lovely boy and we congratulate Diana, Ellen and his breeder, our dear friend Carol Henning, of Rumor's Standard Schnauzers & Miniature Dachshunds.

New JE Kid!

radar_je.jpgHandsome little Radar earned a brand-spankin' new Junior Earthdog title at the end of a very successful trip for his owner, Kathy Schooler.  So he's now CH Caledonia's Radar 'O Reilly v Ruger MW, RN JE TDInc.  He needs only 1.25 points to earn his Field CH and be a Dual CH.  Radar is a DC Maximus ex CH Lassie kid bred by our dear friends, the Marvin family; Andy, Daphne, Saxon & Skye.

Here's what Kathy had to say about her trip, which included more success than just Radar's!!

My sister and I recently returned from a 4 week trip to CA that
included 2 earthdog weekends and a field trial weekend, and I have
some wonderful brags to share. Little Radar earned his first junior
earthdog leg at the Northern CA Dachshund Club's test on 10/26. This
is my first dog to ever earn an ED leg! Then, the following weekend
at NCDC's field trials, all three of my dachshunds did very well.
Radar earned back to back first placements in the OAAD stake and now
only needs 1.25 more points to complete his FC. He also won best open
each day and had a very nice run competing for Absolute on Sunday but
wasn't quite as good as the standard smooth he was running with.
Webster won 3rd place in the combined field champion stake on
11/1,and Maddie won 1st place in field champions on 11/1 and then ran
against Radar for Absolute. Maddie won her very first Absolute! This
had to be the very best field trial weekend I have ever had! Then,
seeing that Radar had done well in ED, we stayed in CA for another 2
weeks just so that we could attend the Border Terrier Club of the
Redwoods earthdog tests 11/15-11/16. Radar qualified in JE on 11/16
and earned his title!  In the picture above, our friend Pat Price, the test
secretary, is on the left and judge Connie Bartlett is on the right.

A big congrats and thanks to Kathy and to Radar's breeders!
