![]() Please educate yourselves about the PAWS (Pet Animal Welfare Statute of 2005) bill readying itself to move through Congress. This bill, if passed into law, will mean that reputable breeders who provide home-raised pups out of champion health tested dogs will be severely limited in their ability to provide pups to the general public. It's already tough for people to buy pets from really good breeders. If PAWS passes into law, it will be virtually impossible to buy purebred dogs from anyone except backyard producers or puppy mills. Reputable Rescues are also at risk to not be able to rehabilite and rehome abandoned and unwanted animals. For more on the difference between reputable breeders and backyard producers or puppy mills, click here. Please contact your federal senators and representatives and tell them why they should not support PAWS after you read the sites below. Are
you among the millions of Americans who think and really
want to 'protect' our pets? Think again. The majority of the monies you donate to these kinds of groups don't help actual animals, they fund lobbying and advertising where the ultimate goal is to eliminate pet ownership entirely! Educate yourselves at NAIATrust.org! |
