People often ask me what it's like to have so many dogs and do what I do with them on top of my 'real' job. The day to day of showing, breeding, etc. As a result, I added this section, called "A Day In The Life...", offered in blog format. Let's get started, shall we? Here's one thing I do: ![]()
I grind chicken. Lots of it. Thank the Lord not every day. Here's 100 pounds of leg quarters, hacked up into pieces that will go in the grinder. I do feed my dogs whole parts, but whole leg quarters, while inexpensive, are difficult to portion up. Grinding them makes it easy to dish up in the morning when I am still half asleep. I hack, I grind, I fill containers. I have some friends who have super-duper grinders, but I am using this 'lil one until it dies. Or I do. I'm not sure at this point who is going to make it longer. I know y'all are super jealous of my faux butcherblock counter. It's my favorite. The kitchen remodel is on hold. ROTFL! Anyway, I will try to add pictures as time goes by that illustrate the good, the bad and the ridiculous in my wonderful life of showing and breeding Dachshunds. |
